ENDOSCOPE DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18317929 titled 'ENDOSCOPE DEVICE
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes an endoscope device that includes a balloon for medical procedures. The device also includes a balloon controller and a remote controller that can perform various balloon operations such as inflation and deflation.
- The endoscope device has a controller operation switch (multifunctional switch) that is located on the endoscope itself and can perform the same balloon operations as the remote controller.
- The device includes a processor (display control unit) that displays the remote controller image on a monitor.
- When a balloon operation is input through the controller operation switch, the processor reflects the type of operation on the remote controller image displayed on the monitor.
Potential applications of this technology:
- Medical procedures that require the use of a balloon, such as balloon dilation or stent placement.
- Minimally invasive surgeries where precise control of the balloon is necessary.
- Gastrointestinal procedures where the balloon can be used for tissue manipulation or to create space.
Problems solved by this technology:
- Simplifies the operation of the endoscope device by providing a controller operation switch on the endoscope itself.
- Allows for easy and intuitive control of the balloon operations without the need for complex manual adjustments.
- Provides a visual representation of the balloon operations on the monitor, enhancing the user's understanding and control.
Benefits of this technology:
- Improved efficiency and accuracy in performing medical procedures that involve the use of a balloon.
- Reduces the learning curve for operating the endoscope device.
- Enhances the user's ability to visualize and control the balloon operations.
Original Abstract Submitted
An endoscope device includes: a balloon; a balloon controller; a remote controller capable of inputting a plurality of types of balloon operations including an inflation operation and a deflation operation of the balloon; a controller operation switch (multifunctional switch) for operating the balloon controller, the controller operation switch being provided in an endoscope and capable of inputting a plurality of types of the balloon operations that are common to the remote controller; and a processor (display control unit), in which the processor is configured to, in a case in which the balloon operation is input to the controller operation switch, reflect a type of the balloon operation input to the controller operation switch on a remote controller image displayed on a monitor.
