METHOD AND SYSTEM WITH BATTERY PARAMETER ESTIMATION FOR REST PERIOD - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18308541 titled 'METHOD AND SYSTEM WITH BATTERY PARAMETER ESTIMATION FOR REST PERIOD
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes a method and system for estimating a battery parameter during a rest period. The method involves determining if the intercalation flux of the battery meets a specific condition and then calculating the open circuit voltage (OCV) of the battery based on various factors such as initial voltage, time constants, and constants. The battery parameter is then estimated based on the calculated OCV.
- The method estimates a battery parameter during a rest period by calculating the open circuit voltage (OCV) of the battery.
- The OCV calculation takes into account factors such as initial voltage, time constants, and constants.
- The battery parameter estimation is based on the calculated OCV of the battery.

Original Abstract Submitted
The following description relates to a method and system with battery parameter estimation for a rest period. A method of estimating a battery parameter of a battery for a rest period of the battery includes: based on determining that an intercalation flux of the battery satisfies a predetermined condition, calculating an open circuit voltage (OCV) of the battery, wherein the OCV is calculated based on an initial voltage, a first time constant corresponding to a positive electrode of the battery, a second time constant corresponding to a negative electrode of the battery, a first constant, a second constant, and a value of a time variable for the rest period; and estimating the battery parameter based on the calculated OCV of the battery.
