NETWORK CONNECTION EXCEPTION PROCESSING METHOD, ELECTRONIC DEVICE, AND STORAGE MEDIUM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18276663 titled 'NETWORK CONNECTION EXCEPTION PROCESSING METHOD, ELECTRONIC DEVICE, AND STORAGE MEDIUM

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a method for processing network connection exceptions in a dual-mode base station, involving a DU and a CU communicating with two core networks for SA and NSA users.

  • The method involves sending notifications of connection exceptions between subordinate cells and the core network, updating cell information accordingly, and re-selecting cells for data transmission.
  • The innovation allows for seamless handling of network connection exceptions in a dual-mode base station, ensuring uninterrupted data transmission for both SA and NSA users.

Potential Applications

The technology can be applied in telecommunications infrastructure to improve the reliability and efficiency of dual-mode base stations.

Problems Solved

1. Seamless handling of network connection exceptions in a dual-mode base station. 2. Ensuring uninterrupted data transmission for both SA and NSA users.

Benefits

1. Improved reliability of network connections. 2. Enhanced user experience with uninterrupted data transmission. 3. Efficient management of network resources.

Potential Commercial Applications

Optimizing network performance in dual-mode base stations for telecommunications companies.

Possible Prior Art

Prior art may include methods for handling network connection exceptions in single-mode base stations or traditional network infrastructures.

What are the technical specifications of the electronic device mentioned in the abstract?

The technical specifications of the electronic device, such as the DU and CU, are not explicitly mentioned in the abstract. Further details regarding the hardware and software components, communication protocols, and processing capabilities of the device would provide a clearer understanding of its functionality.

How does this method compare to existing solutions for network connection exceptions in dual-mode base stations?

This method appears to offer a more efficient and proactive approach to handling network connection exceptions in dual-mode base stations by notifying subordinate cells of exceptions and re-selecting cells for data transmission. Existing solutions may focus on reactive measures after an exception occurs, whereas this method aims to prevent disruptions in data transmission proactively.

Original Abstract Submitted

Disclosed are a network connection exception processing method, an electronic device, and a storage medium. The method is applied to a DU of a dual-mode base station, which is simultaneously used in an SA network and an NSA network, and comprises a DU and a CU in communication connection; the CU is configured to separately establish a connection to a first core network and a second core network, and the DU implements data transmission between an SA user end and the first core network and data transmission between an NSA user end and the second core network. The method comprises: after receiving first core network connection exception information sent by the CU, sending a notification of a connection exception between each subordinate cell and the first core network for the SA user end to read and update, access information of each cell according to the notification, and re-perform cell selection.
