An acquisition unit acquires product information about a product that is purchased by a customer in accordance with the customer's or a store clerk's operation. An output unit outputs settlement information based on the product information such that the settlement information can be read by the customer's mobile terminal device. The customer's mobile terminal device then reads the settlement information from a store mobile terminal device, and uses the customer's payment information and the read settlement information to make an electronic payment via a payment server.
