LIGHT OUTPUT CONTROL DEVICE, LIGHT OUTPUT CONTROL METHOD, AND PROGRAM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18264760 titled 'LIGHT OUTPUT CONTROL DEVICE, LIGHT OUTPUT CONTROL METHOD, AND PROGRAM

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a device and method for controlling light output in a way that eliminates occlusion regions and does not disrupt the blinking pattern light of a mobile device. This is achieved by analyzing sensor input information and reception information from another device to determine the light application region or light output timing, and then controlling the light output unit accordingly.

  • Light output control based on data analysis and sensor input:

- The device determines the light application region or light output timing based on data analysis and sensor input information. - This allows for precise control of the light output unit to optimize the lighting conditions.

  • Elimination of occlusion regions and preservation of blinking pattern light:

- The light output control is executed to eliminate occlusion regions where no light reaches due to obstacles like pillars. - The system ensures that the blinking pattern light output from the mobile device is not disturbed during the process.

  • Potential Applications:

This technology could be applied in various industries such as automotive (for vehicle lighting systems), consumer electronics (smartphones, tablets), and smart home devices.

  • Problems Solved:

- Eliminates occlusion regions that can affect the visibility of light output. - Preserves the blinking pattern light of mobile devices for effective communication.

  • Benefits:

- Improved visibility and control of light output. - Enhanced user experience with consistent blinking pattern light.

  • Potential Commercial Applications:

- Automotive lighting systems - Smartphone and tablet manufacturers - Smart home device manufacturers

  • Possible Prior Art:

One possible prior art could be the use of light sensors in smartphones to adjust screen brightness based on ambient light conditions.

Questions:

1. How does the device analyze sensor input information to determine the light application region? 2. What specific industries could benefit the most from this technology and why?

Original Abstract Submitted

There are provided a device and a method that execute light output control that eliminates an occlusion region and does not disturb blinking pattern light of a mobile device. At least one of a light application region or a light output timing of output light of a light output unit is determined on the basis of a data analysis result based on sensor input information and reception information from another device, the light output unit is controlled according to the light application region or the light output timing that has been determined, and a light output process is executed. Specifically, for example, light output control is executed so as to eliminate an occlusion region which no light reaches due to a pillar or the like, and moreover, so as not to disturb blinking pattern light output from the mobile device.
