METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR QUICKLY DISPLAYING CONTROL WINDOW FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND MOBILE DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18262888 titled 'METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR QUICKLY DISPLAYING CONTROL WINDOW FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND MOBILE DEVICE

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a system where a mobile device communicates with an annotation device and an electronic device to be annotated. The mobile device has various components and a computer program that enables it to record its location, pop up control windows for the electronic device, and control the electronic device using the annotation device.

  • Mobile device communicates wirelessly with annotation device and electronic device
  • Mobile device includes processor, memory, UWB tag, direction sensor, and computer program
  • Mobile device records its location in response to input and pops up control window for electronic device
  • Mobile device can control electronic device without UWB chip using annotation device

Potential Applications

This technology could be used in industries such as education, business, and healthcare for interactive presentations, remote control of devices, and collaborative work environments.

Problems Solved

This technology solves the problem of controlling electronic devices without UWB chips installed, enabling seamless interaction and annotation capabilities.

Benefits

The benefits of this technology include enhanced collaboration, improved user experience, and increased efficiency in controlling electronic devices remotely.

Potential Commercial Applications

  • Enhancing interactive presentations in conference rooms
  • Facilitating remote control of electronic devices in smart homes
  • Improving collaboration in healthcare settings with annotated medical records.

Original Abstract Submitted

A mobile device communicates wirelessly with an annotation device and a to-be-annotated electronic device. The mobile device includes a processor, a memory, a UWB tag, a direction sensor, and a computer program stored in the memory, and when the computer program executed by the processor, the mobile device is enabled to perform: receiving a first input after the mobile device moves to a location of the electronic device; recording a location of the mobile device in response to the first input, where the location of the mobile device is the location of the electronic device; and popping up a first control window for the electronic device after the mobile device moves to another location and points to the electronic device. According to this application, the mobile device can control, by using the annotation device, an electronic device on which no UWB chip is installed.
