RELEASE LINER FOR SILICONE ADHESIVE LAYER, AND LAMINATE AND ROLL BODY INCLUDING THE RELEASE LINER - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18262421 titled 'RELEASE LINER FOR SILICONE ADHESIVE LAYER, AND LAMINATE AND ROLL BODY INCLUDING THE RELEASE LINER
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes a non-fluorine-based release liner with excellent heat-resistant stability for use with a silicone adhesive layer.
- The release liner includes a substrate and a release layer containing poly(meth)acrylic acid ester, which is a polymer of a polymerizable component containing an alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer with a branched alkyl group having 8 or more carbon atoms.
Potential Applications: - Packaging industry - Medical industry - Automotive industry
Problems Solved: - Improved heat-resistant stability - Enhanced releasability and release strength
Benefits: - Non-fluorine-based alternative - Excellent performance with silicone adhesive layers - Increased durability and reliability
Potential Commercial Applications: Optimizing Silicone Adhesive Release Liners for Various Industries
Possible Prior Art: Prior art may include fluorine-based release liners or other non-fluorine alternatives with different compositions.
Unanswered Questions: 1. How does the heat-resistant stability of this release liner compare to fluorine-based alternatives? 2. Are there any specific limitations or compatibility issues when using this release liner with certain types of silicone adhesive layers?
Original Abstract Submitted
Object To provide a non-fluorine-based release liner having excellent heat-resistant stability of releasability and release strength that may be applied to a silicone adhesive layer, and a laminate and a roll body including the release liner. Resolution Means A release liner for a silicone adhesive layer according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a substrate and a release layer on at least one surface of the substrate, and the release layer contains poly(meth)acrylic acid ester, the poly(meth)acrylic acid ester is a polymer of a polymerizable component containing an alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer having a branched alkyl group having 8 or more carbon atoms.
