FEEDBACK BASED ON INDICATED FEEDBACK PROCESS IDENTIFIERS - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18262371 titled 'FEEDBACK BASED ON INDICATED FEEDBACK PROCESS IDENTIFIERS
Simplified Explanation
The abstract describes methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications, including transmitting control signaling to a user equipment (UE) for providing feedback corresponding to a set of feedback process identifiers, canceling scheduled uplink transmissions, and scheduling the UE to transmit feedback data based on the cancellation indication.
- Network entity transmits control signaling to UE for feedback process identifiers.
- Network entity cancels scheduled uplink transmission for feedback data subset.
- Network entity schedules UE to transmit feedback data based on cancellation indication.
- UE transmits feedback message with feedback data for subset based on control message.

What are the specific components of the control signaling transmitted to the UE for feedback process identifiers?
The specific components of the control signaling transmitted to the UE for feedback process identifiers include information indicating the set of feedback process identifiers for at least one component carrier.
How does the network entity determine the subset of feedback process identifiers for which the UE is scheduled to provide feedback data?
The network entity determines the subset of feedback process identifiers for which the UE is scheduled to provide feedback data based on the cancellation indication received, which cancels a scheduled uplink transmission.
Original Abstract Submitted
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For instance, a network entity may transmit, to a user equipment Transmission (UE), control signaling indicating that the UE is to provide feedback corresponding to a set of feedback process identifiers for at least one component carrier. The network entity may transmit, to the UE, a cancellation indication Feedback Message that cancels a scheduled uplink transmission in which the UE is scheduled to provide feedback data corresponding to a subset of the set of feedback process identifiers. The network entity may transmit, to the UE, a control message scheduling the UE to transmit the feedback data corresponding to the subset of the set of feedback process identifiers (e.g., based on the cancellation indication). The UE may transmit, to the network entity, a feedback message including the feedback data for the subset based on the control message.
