DETERMINING ALLOCATION OF RESOURCES IN A WIRELESS NETWORK - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18258283 titled 'DETERMINING ALLOCATION OF RESOURCES IN A WIRELESS NETWORK

Simplified Explanation

    • Explanation:**

The patent application describes a method for determining the allocation of resources in a wireless network using quantum computing technology.

  • Express determination of resource allocation for wireless communication devices as a quadratic unconstrained binary optimization (QUBO) problem.
  • Execute the QUBO problem on a quantum computing device to determine the allocation of resources to the wireless communication devices in the network.
    • Potential Applications:**
  • Wireless network management
  • Resource allocation optimization in communication networks
    • Problems Solved:**
  • Efficient resource allocation in wireless networks
  • Optimization of network performance
    • Benefits:**
  • Improved network efficiency
  • Enhanced resource utilization
  • Potential for faster and more accurate resource allocation decisions

Original Abstract Submitted

Methods and apparatus are provided. In an example aspect, a method of determining allocation of resources in a wireless network is provided. The method includes expressing determination of allocation of resources for a plurality of wireless communication devices in the wireless network as a quadratic unconstrained binary optimization (QUBO) problem, and executing the QUBO problem on a quantum computing device to determine the allocation of resources to the plurality of wireless communication devices in the wireless network.
