Method for Documenting Operating Data of a Hand-Held Power Tool - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18258270 titled 'Method for Documenting Operating Data of a Hand-Held Power Tool
Simplified Explanation
The abstract describes a method for documenting operating data of a hand-held power tool using a data processing device. The method involves retrieving operating parameters of the power tool via a communication unit of the data processing device, processing the parameters into compressed operating data using a computing unit to reduce storage requirements, and storing the processed operating data on a storage unit of the data processing device.
- The method involves retrieving operating parameters of a hand-held power tool.
- The operating parameters are processed into compressed operating data.
- The compressed operating data is stored on a storage unit of the data processing device.
Potential Applications:
- This method can be used for documenting and analyzing the performance of hand-held power tools in various industries such as construction, manufacturing, and maintenance.
- It can be used for quality control and troubleshooting of power tools.
- The data collected can be used for predictive maintenance and optimization of power tool usage.
Problems Solved:
- The method solves the problem of efficiently documenting and storing operating data of hand-held power tools.
- It reduces the storage requirement by compressing the operating data.
- It provides a convenient way to retrieve and analyze operating parameters of power tools.
Benefits:
- The method allows for accurate and detailed documentation of operating data, which can be useful for performance analysis and improvement.
- It reduces the storage requirement, saving storage space and costs.
- The compressed operating data can be easily transferred and shared between different devices and systems.
- The method enables predictive maintenance and optimization of power tool usage, leading to increased efficiency and cost savings.
Original Abstract Submitted
A method for documenting operating data of a hand-held power tool using a data processing device, in particular a data logger, includes at least one communication step in which operating parameters of the hand-held power tool are retrieved via a communication unit of the data processing device, and at least one processing step, in which the operating parameters of the hand-held power tool are processed into compressed operating data by a computing unit of the data processing device in order to reduce the storage requirement. The method further includes a storage step in which the operating data of the hand-held power tool which is processed by the computing unit, in particular compressed, is stored on a storage unit of the data processing device.
