METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SWITCHING BETWEEN 320 MHZ CHANNELS IN WIRELESS LAN SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18255028 titled 'METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SWITCHING BETWEEN 320 MHZ CHANNELS IN WIRELESS LAN SYSTEM

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a method and device for switching between 320 MHz channels in a wireless LAN system.

  • Reception STA receives a beacon frame and EHT OM field from a transmission STA through a first 320 MHz channel.
  • Reception STA receives a beacon frame from the transmission STA through a second 320 MHz channel.
  • BSS channels of the transmission and reception STAs are switched from the first 320 MHz channel to the second 320 MHz channel based on the beacon frame and the EHT OM field.

Potential Applications

  • Enhanced network performance

Benefits

  • Seamless channel switching
  • Better network management
  • Enhanced data transmission speeds

Original Abstract Submitted

Proposed are a method and device for switching between 320 MHz channels in a wireless LAN system. Specifically, a reception STA receives a beacon frame from a transmission STA through a first 320 MHz channel. The reception STA receives an EHT OM field from the transmission STA through the first 320 MHz channel. The reception STA receives a beacon frame from the transmission STA through a second 320 MHz channel. BSS channels of the transmission and reception STAs are switched from the first 320 MHz channel to the second 320 MHz channel on the basis of the beacon frame and the EHT OM field.
