HUMIDIFIER FOR PREVENTING POLLUTION OF HUMIDIFYING WATER - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18241568 titled 'HUMIDIFIER FOR PREVENTING POLLUTION OF HUMIDIFYING WATER

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a humidifier that includes various components such as a humidifying member, storage water tank, circulating water tank, residual water tank, supply pump, circulating pump, fan, internal pipe, drainage member, and a controller.

  • The humidifying member is responsible for adding moisture to the air.
  • The storage water tank holds the water to be supplied to the humidifying member.
  • The circulating water tank stores the water that has been used by the humidifying member.
  • The supply pump transfers water from the storage water tank to the circulating water tank.
  • The circulating pump moves water from the circulating water tank to the humidifying member.
  • The fan blows air towards the humidifying member, causing the evaporated water to be released outside the humidifier.
  • The internal pipe creates a pathway for the water that is not evaporated by the humidifying member to be returned to the circulating water tank.
  • The drainage member selectively discharges water from the circulating water tank to the residual water tank.
  • The controller operates the humidifier in humidity mode based on the water level in the storage water tank.

Potential Applications

  • Home humidification systems
  • Office or commercial building humidification systems
  • Industrial processes requiring controlled humidity levels

Problems Solved

  • Provides a convenient and efficient way to add moisture to the air in a controlled manner.
  • Prevents wastage of water by recovering non-evaporated water and returning it to the system.
  • Allows for easy drainage of excess water to prevent overflow.

Benefits

  • Maintains desired humidity levels in indoor environments.
  • Reduces water consumption by recycling non-evaporated water.
  • User-friendly operation with automatic control based on water levels.
  • Prevents water overflow and potential damage to the humidifier.

Original Abstract Submitted

The humidifier includes a humidifying member, a storage water tank, a circulating water tank, a residual water tank, a supply pump configured to supply water accommodated in the storage water tank to the circulating water tank, a circulating pump configured to supply water accommodated in the circulating water tank to the humidifying member. A fan configured to blow air toward the humidifying member and thereby cause water evaporated to be discharged outside the humidifier, an internal pipe configured to form a flow passage through which water not evaporated by the humidifying member is recovered to the circulating water tank, a drainage member configured to selectively discharge water accommodated in the circulating water tank to the residual water tank, and a controller configured to operate the humidifier in humidity mode based on the water level in the storage water tank.
