REMOTE SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18240060 titled 'REMOTE SYSTEM

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a system where a vehicle equipped with a camera generates synthesized video combining moving object video with camera video, which is transmitted to a remote terminal for display. The remote terminal detects fixation of the displayed video based on changes in the moving object video and outputs an abnormality signal when fixation is detected.

  • Vehicle equipped with a camera
  • Remote terminal with a display
  • Communication network connecting vehicle and remote terminal
  • Synthesized video combining moving object video with camera video
  • Detection of fixation on displayed video
  • Output of abnormality signal in response to fixation detection

Potential Applications

This technology could be applied in various fields such as:

  • Surveillance systems
  • Traffic monitoring
  • Remote inspection and monitoring

Problems Solved

The system helps in:

  • Detecting abnormalities or suspicious behavior
  • Enhancing remote monitoring capabilities
  • Improving situational awareness

Benefits

The benefits of this technology include:

  • Real-time detection of fixation on displayed video
  • Enhanced security and surveillance measures
  • Improved remote monitoring efficiency

Potential Commercial Applications

Potential commercial applications of this technology could include:

  • Security companies
  • Traffic management authorities
  • Remote monitoring service providers

Possible Prior Art

One possible prior art could be the use of video analytics software in surveillance systems to detect anomalies or unusual behavior.

What is the accuracy rate of fixation detection in this system?

The accuracy rate of fixation detection in this system is not specified in the abstract. Further details or testing results would be needed to determine the accuracy rate.

How does the system handle data privacy and security concerns?

The abstract does not mention how the system handles data privacy and security concerns. It would be important to understand the encryption methods or data protection measures implemented in the system to address these concerns.

Original Abstract Submitted

The remote system includes a vehicle equipped with a camera and a remote terminal having a display. The vehicle and the remote terminal are connected via a communication network. The vehicle generates synthesized video in which moving object video changing over time is synthesized with camera video captured by the camera, and transmits the synthesized video to the remote terminal. The remote terminal displays the synthesized video on the display, detects fixation of video displayed on the display based on a change in the moving object video included in the synthesized video, and outputs an abnormality signal in response to detection of the fixation.
