The storage controller includes a journal manager having a range table. The journal manager is configured to: generate a plurality of journal data associated with the update of the meta data, restore the meta data by sequentially performing a replay operation for each of the plurality of journal data, update the range table based on the plurality of journal data, and skip the replay operation for at least one of the plurality of journal data based on the range table.
