ELECTRONIC APPARATUS FOR PROJECTING IMAGE AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREOF - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18197904 titled 'ELECTRONIC APPARATUS FOR PROJECTING IMAGE AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREOF

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes an electronic apparatus that includes sensors to detect the distance between the apparatus and a projection plane, as well as the inclination of the apparatus. It also includes a memory, a projecting part, and processors to obtain environment information and control the projecting part based on the obtained information.

  • The electronic apparatus has sensors to detect distance and inclination.
  • It has a memory to store setting information.
  • It includes a projecting part to output a projection image.
  • Processors obtain environment information through the sensors.
  • The projecting part outputs a projection image based on the setting information.
  • The apparatus can also detect motion and obtain environment information based on it.
  • The projecting part adjusts the projection image based on the second environment information.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Interactive presentations and displays.
  • Augmented reality applications.
  • Virtual reality gaming.
  • Projection mapping for events and entertainment.
  • Industrial and architectural design visualization.

Problems solved by this technology:

Benefits of this technology:

  • Improved accuracy and precision in projection mapping.
  • Increased flexibility and adaptability in interactive applications.
  • Enhanced immersion and realism in virtual and augmented reality experiences.
  • Streamlined setup and configuration of projection systems.
  • Cost and space savings by eliminating the need for additional equipment.

Original Abstract Submitted

An electronic apparatus includes a sensor including a first sensor configured to detect a distance between the electronic apparatus and a projection plane and a second sensor configured to detect an inclination of the electronic apparatus, a memory, a projecting part, and at least one processor configured to obtain first environment information through the first sensor and the second sensor, control the projecting part to output a projection image to the projection plane based on first setting information corresponding to the first environment information among plurality of setting information stored in the memory, obtain second environment information through the first sensor and the second sensor based on motion of the electronic apparatus being detected through the second sensor, and control the projecting part to output the projection image to the projection plane based on second setting information corresponding to the second environment information.
