System and Method for Uplink and Downlink in Multi-Point Communications - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18164293 titled 'System and Method for Uplink and Downlink in Multi-Point Communications

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes an example wireless communication method and apparatus. The method involves a user equipment (UE) receiving configuration information for a bandwidth part (BWP) in a carrier for a serving cell. The configuration information includes a group of parameters and a resource group (RG) on the BWP. The UE then receives additional configuration information for the BWP, which includes another group of parameters and another RG on the BWP. The UE performs transmission or reception based on the parameters associated with each RG.

  • The patent/application involves wireless communication methods and apparatus.
  • It describes a method for configuring a bandwidth part (BWP) in a carrier for a serving cell.

Original Abstract Submitted

Example wireless communication methods and apparatus are described. One example includes receiving first configuration information of a bandwidth part (BWP) in a carrier for a serving cell by a user equipment (UE). The first configuration information includes a first group of parameters and a first resource group (RG) on the BWP in the carrier for the serving cell. The UE receives second configuration information of the BWP in the carrier, where the second configuration information includes a second group of parameters and a second RG on the BWP in the carrier. Transmission or reception associated with the first RG is performed based on the first group of parameters. Transmission or reception associated with the second RG is performed based on the second group of parameters.
