This application provides a resource scheduling method, and a communication apparatus and system. In the method is specifically as follows: The first terminal device sends indication information to the second device, where the indication information includes data volume information of to-be-transmitted data on the sidelink, and the data volume information of the to-be-transmitted data is used by the second device to obtain a target resource, and the target resource may be used by the second device to forward, to the third communication device, data received from the sidelink. By using this application, the second device may obtain a required resource based on the data volume information of the to-be-transmitted data in the indication information sent by the first terminal device, and forward, by using the required resource, the data received by the second device from the sidelink, to reduce a relay forwarding delay in sidelink communication.
