METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING/RECEIVING DOWNLINK DATA IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, AND DEVICE THEREFOR - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18151791 titled 'METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING/RECEIVING DOWNLINK DATA IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, AND DEVICE THEREFOR

Simplified Explanation

The present invention is a method and device for transmitting and receiving downlink data in a wireless communication system. The method involves the following steps:

  • Receiving configuration information.
  • Receiving downlink control information (DCI) which includes a transmission configuration indication (TCI) field. Multiple TCI states are indicated based on the TCI field.
  • Receiving multiple transmission occasions of an identical transport block based on the DCI. These transmission occasions are received through a time-domain resource using time division multiplexing (TDM). The number of transmission occasions is determined by the number of TCI states.

Potential applications of this technology include:

  • Wireless communication systems that require efficient transmission and reception of downlink data.
  • Systems that use time division multiplexing for transmitting multiple transmission occasions.
  • Communication systems that require configuration information and downlink control information for efficient data transmission.

Problems solved by this technology include:

  • Efficient transmission and reception of downlink data in a wireless communication system.
  • Optimizing the use of time-domain resources through time division multiplexing.
  • Providing multiple transmission occasions based on different TCI states for improved data transmission.

Benefits of this technology include:

  • Improved efficiency in transmitting and receiving downlink data.
  • Optimal utilization of time-domain resources through time division multiplexing.
  • Flexibility in determining the number of transmission occasions based on different TCI states.

Original Abstract Submitted

Disclosed in the present invention are a method for transmitting/receiving downlink data in a wireless communication system, and a device therefor. Specifically, a method of receiving downlink data by user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system comprises the steps of: receiving configuration information; receiving downlink control information (DCI), the DCI comprising a transmission configuration indication (TCI) field, and multiple TCI states being indicated on the basis of the TCI field; and receiving multiple transmission occasions of an identical transport bloc k on the basis of the DCI. The multiple transmission occasions are received through a time-domain resource on the basis of time division multiplexing (TDM), and the number of the multiple transmission occasions is determined on the basis of the number of the multiple TCI states.
