A wireless power transmitting apparatus includes: at least one sensor for obtaining location information of at least one electronic device; a short-distance communication module for transmitting and receiving data including voltage or current information related to power of the at least one electronic device, to and from the at least one electronic device; a power transmission circuit configured to wirelessly supply power to the at least one electronic device; and a processor operably connected to the at least one sensor, the short-distance communication module, the power transmission circuit, and a display included in the wireless power transmitting apparatus or at least one electronic device, where the processor controls the display to output information about a power state of the at least one electronic device, on the basis of the location information of the at least one electronic device and the voltage or current information.
