DYNAMIC DETERMINATION OF AVAILABLE SLOTS FOR TRANSMISSION OF SOUNDING REFERENCE SIGNAL (SRS) INFORMATION - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18148694 titled 'DYNAMIC DETERMINATION OF AVAILABLE SLOTS FOR TRANSMISSION OF SOUNDING REFERENCE SIGNAL (SRS) INFORMATION

Simplified Explanation

Abstract Explanation

The abstract of this patent application describes a wireless communication system where a user equipment (UE) receives configuration information from a base station regarding available slots for transmitting sounding reference signal (SRS) information. The UE also receives dynamic downlink communication from the base station, which includes slot information for determining a select available slot. The UE then transmits the SRS information to the base station during the select available slot, based on the slot information and configuration information.

  • The patent application is related to wireless communication.
  • It describes a system where a UE receives configuration information from a base station regarding available slots for transmitting SRS information.
  • The UE also receives dynamic downlink communication from the base station, including slot information.
  • Based on the slot information and configuration information, the UE determines a select available slot.
  • The UE then transmits the SRS information to the base station during the select available slot.

Potential Applications

  • This technology can be applied in various wireless communication systems, such as cellular networks.
  • It can improve the efficiency and reliability of transmitting SRS information between UEs and base stations.
  • The technology can be used in 5G and future wireless networks to enhance overall communication performance.

Problems Solved

  • The technology solves the problem of efficiently transmitting SRS information in wireless communication systems.
  • It addresses the challenge of coordinating and selecting available slots for transmitting SRS information.
  • The technology provides a solution for optimizing the use of available resources in wireless communication networks.

Benefits

  • The technology improves the accuracy and reliability of transmitting SRS information.
  • It enhances the overall performance and efficiency of wireless communication systems.
  • The technology enables better coordination and utilization of available slots for transmitting SRS information.

Original Abstract Submitted

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, configuration information regarding one or more available slots associated with transmitting sounding reference signal (SRS) information. The UE may receive, from the base station, dynamic downlink communication including slot information for determining a select available slot from among the one or more available slots. The UE may transmit, to the base station, the SRS information during the select available slot, determined based at least in part on the slot information and the configuration information. Numerous other aspects are described.
