DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD OF FABRICATING THE SAME - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18118871 titled 'DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD OF FABRICATING THE SAME

Simplified Explanation

The display device described in the patent application includes a light-emitting element layer and a circuit element layer. The circuit element layer is positioned between the substrate and the light-emitting element layer. It consists of a first metal layer with lines and metal patterns, all in the same layer and spaced apart from each other. Additionally, there is an upper gate line on the first metal layer. The light-emitting element layer includes first alignment electrodes and a second alignment electrode, also in the same layer and spaced apart from each other. Light-emitting elements are present in the gaps between the first alignment electrodes and the second alignment electrode. A first contact electrode is in contact with the first end portions of the light-emitting elements and a first power connector, in the same layer as the first contact electrode, electrically connects the first voltage line and the metal patterns.

  • The display device includes a circuit element layer and a light-emitting element layer.

Original Abstract Submitted

A display device includes a light-emitting element layer on a substrate, and a circuit element layer between the substrate and the light-emitting element layer. The circuit element layer includes a first metal layer including lines, and metal patterns, all in a same layer and extending in a direction and spaced apart from one another, and an upper gate line on the first metal layer. The light-emitting element layer includes first alignment electrodes and a second alignment electrode, disposed in a same layer and spaced apart from one another, light-emitting elements in gaps between the first alignment electrodes and the second alignment electrode, a first contact electrode on the light-emitting elements and in contact with first end portions of the light-emitting elements, and a first power connector, disposed in a same layer as the first contact electrode and electrically connecting the first voltage line and the metal patterns.
