ELECTRONIC DEVICE COMPRISING WIRELESS CHARGING CIRCUIT - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18104472 titled 'ELECTRONIC DEVICE COMPRISING WIRELESS CHARGING CIRCUIT
Simplified Explanation
The abstract describes an electronic device with a wireless charging circuit that can receive power from a power supply device through different magnetic fields based on the position of the device's housing. Here are the key points:
- The electronic device has a housing with two portions that can change position relative to each other.
- The device includes a wireless charging circuit and at least one processor connected to it.
- The wireless charging circuit can receive power from a power supply device through a first magnetic field with a specific center.
- The wireless charging circuit can also receive power from the power supply device through a second magnetic field with a different center.
- The choice of magnetic field is determined by the positional relationship between the two portions of the housing.
Potential applications of this technology:
- Mobile phones or tablets with adjustable housings that can change position for different use cases.
- Smartwatches or fitness trackers with adjustable bands that can change position based on user preferences.
- Laptops or tablets with detachable keyboards that can change position depending on the device's configuration.
Problems solved by this technology:
- Provides flexibility in charging options by allowing the device to receive power through different magnetic fields.
- Enables efficient wireless charging even when the device's housing is in different positions.
- Simplifies the charging process by automatically adapting to the position of the housing.
Benefits of this technology:
- Enhanced user experience with adjustable devices that can be charged in different positions.
- Improved convenience by eliminating the need for precise alignment between the device and the charging pad.
- Increased charging efficiency by optimizing the magnetic field based on the device's housing position.
Original Abstract Submitted
An electronic device according to various embodiments of the disclosure may include: a housing, a wireless charging circuit, and at least one processor electrically connected to the wireless charging circuit, the housing may include a first portion and a second portion, the second portion may change in a position relative to the first portion based on a state of the electronic device, and the at least one processor may be configured to: control the wireless charging circuit to receive first power from a power supply device through a first magnetic field having a first center and control the wireless charging circuit to receive the first power from the power supply device through a second magnetic field having a second center different from the first center, based on a positional relationship between the first portion and the second portion of the housing.
