APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR INITIAL ACCESS IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18099991 titled 'APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR INITIAL ACCESS IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

Simplified Explanation

The present disclosure is about a method, device, and apparatus for initial access in a pre-5G or 5G communication system. It involves establishing a connection between a relay node and an anchor node based on a configuration message.

  • The method establishes a connection between a relay node and a central unit of the anchor node through information interaction between base stations and between base station and relay node.
  • The method includes receiving a first configuration message and using it to establish the connection between the relay node and the anchor node.
  • The disclosure also provides a scheduling method and a first node.
  • The scheduling method involves receiving scheduling information reported by second nodes and connected user equipment (UE), generating scheduling information for the second nodes to schedule the connected UE, and transmitting the generated scheduling information to the second nodes and/or the connected UE.
  • The disclosure also includes a second node, a third node, and a computer-readable medium.

Potential Applications

  • This technology can be applied in pre-5G or 5G communication systems to support higher data rates beyond 4G systems like LTE.
  • It can improve the initial access process in these communication systems, making it more efficient and reliable.
  • The scheduling method can enhance the overall performance of the system by optimizing the allocation of resources and improving the scheduling of connected UEs.

Problems Solved

  • The method solves the problem of establishing a connection between a relay node and an anchor node in a pre-5G or 5G communication system.
  • It addresses the challenge of efficient and reliable initial access in these systems.
  • The scheduling method solves the problem of resource allocation and scheduling optimization in a multi-node communication system.

Benefits

  • The method improves the efficiency and reliability of the initial access process in pre-5G or 5G communication systems.
  • It enables a more seamless and stable connection between relay nodes and anchor nodes.
  • The scheduling method optimizes resource allocation and scheduling, leading to improved overall system performance.

Original Abstract Submitted

The present disclosure relates to a pre-5-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). Embodiments of the disclosure provide a method, device and apparatus for initial access, wherein a method for initial access includes: receiving a first configuration message; and establishing a connection between a relay node and an anchor node, based on the first configuration message. The method provided in this disclosure establishes a connection between the relay node and a central unit of the anchor node through the information interaction between base stations and the information interaction between base station and relay node. The present disclosure provides a scheduling method and a first node. The method includes: receiving second scheduling related information reported by at least one second node and first scheduling related information reported by at least one UE that is connected to the at least one second node; generating scheduling information used by the at least one second node for scheduling the connected UE; and transmitting the generated scheduling information to the at least one second node and/or the connected UE. A corresponding second node, third node, and computer readable medium are also provided.
