METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PERFORMING SL TRANSMISSION IN NR V2X - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18095819 titled 'METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PERFORMING SL TRANSMISSION IN NR V2X

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a method for wireless communication between two devices, where certain control information and reference signals are mapped onto specific resources. The method involves mapping first sidelink control information (SCI) onto a resource related to a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH). A phase tracking-reference signal (PT-RS) is then mapped onto a resource related to a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH), based on a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) on the PSCCH. Second SCI is mapped onto a resource that is not used for PT-RS mapping, among resources related to the PSSCH. Finally, the first SCI, second SCI, and PT-RS are transmitted to a second device, with the second SCI not being mapped onto the same resource as the PT-RS.

  • The method involves mapping control information and reference signals onto specific resources in wireless communication.

Problems Solved

  • The method solves the problem of efficiently mapping control information and reference signals onto specific resources in wireless communication.
  • It addresses the challenge of avoiding interference between different types of signals transmitted between devices.

Benefits

  • By mapping control information and reference signals onto specific resources, the method improves the overall performance and reliability of wireless communication.
  • It allows for efficient utilization of available resources and reduces the chances of interference between different signals.
  • The method can enhance the capacity and throughput of wireless communication systems.

Original Abstract Submitted

A method for performing wireless communication by a first device and a device for supporting same are provided. The method comprises the steps of: mapping first sidelink control information (SCI) onto a resource related to a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH); mapping a phase tracking-reference signal (PT-RS) onto a resource related to a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH), on the basis of a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) on the PSCCH; mapping second SCI onto a resource onto which the PT-RS is not mapped, among resources related to the PSSCH; and transmitting the first SCI, the second SCI, and the PT-RS to a second device, wherein the second SCI is not mapped onto a resource onto which the PT-RS is mapped.
