CONFIGURING PHYSICAL RESOURCES FOR INTERFERENCE CANCELLATION - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18061826 titled 'CONFIGURING PHYSICAL RESOURCES FOR INTERFERENCE CANCELLATION

Simplified Explanation

The abstract of this patent application describes a method for supporting higher data rates by configuring physical resources for transmission. The method includes acquiring a configuration of physical resources by a terminal and performing transmission according to the configured physical resources. The transmission can be performed in three different ways:

  • The terminal does not perform any uplink transmission or downlink reception on the configured physical resources.
  • The terminal only performs downlink reception on the configured physical resources.
  • The terminal only performs uplink transmission on the configured physical resources.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • This technology can be applied in wireless communication systems to support higher data rates.
  • It can be used in cellular networks to improve the efficiency and capacity of data transmission.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • The method solves the problem of limited data rates in wireless communication systems by optimizing the configuration of physical resources.
  • It addresses the challenge of efficiently utilizing available resources for transmission.

Benefits of this technology:

  • By configuring physical resources for transmission, this technology enables higher data rates in wireless communication systems.
  • It improves the efficiency and capacity of data transmission in cellular networks.
  • The method allows for flexible transmission options, depending on the specific requirements of the terminal.

Original Abstract Submitted

For supporting higher data rates, resource configuration includes: acquiring, by a terminal, a configuration of physical resources; and performing, by the terminal, transmission according to the configured physical resources, wherein performing, by the terminal, transmission according to the configured physical resources comprises one of: neither performing, by the terminal, uplink transmission nor performing downlink reception on the configured physical resources; performing, by the terminal, only downlink reception on the configured physical resources; and performing, by the terminal, only uplink transmission on the configured physical resources.
