METHOD OF OPERATING FASTENING APPARATUS AND FASTENING APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17991449 titled 'METHOD OF OPERATING FASTENING APPARATUS AND FASTENING APPARATUS

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a fastening apparatus that includes multiple fastening tools and three movement mechanisms.

  • The first movement mechanism rotates the fastening tools in a circular direction using a closed-curve guide unit.
  • The second movement mechanism moves the fastening tools in a radial direction.
  • The third movement mechanism moves the fastening tools in a vertical direction.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Manufacturing industries that require fastening multiple components together.
  • Construction sites where fastening tools are used for various tasks.
  • Automotive assembly lines where fastening tools are needed for assembling parts.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Allows for efficient and precise fastening of multiple components.
  • Enables fastening tools to be moved in different directions for versatile use.
  • Reduces the need for manual adjustments and increases automation.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Increases productivity by allowing simultaneous fastening of multiple components.
  • Improves accuracy and consistency in fastening tasks.
  • Reduces labor costs by automating the fastening process.

Original Abstract Submitted

A fastening apparatus includes: a plurality of fastening tools; a first movement mechanism configured to rotate the plurality of fastening tools in a circumferential direction; a second movement mechanism configured to rectilinearly move the plurality of fastening tools in a radial direction; and a third movement mechanism configured to rectilinearly move the plurality of fastening tools in a vertical direction. In particular, the first movement mechanism includes a closed-curve guide unit having a closed-curve shape and configured to define a route along which the plurality of fastening tools rotates in the circumferential direction.
