TERMINAL AND VEHICLE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17990524 titled 'TERMINAL AND VEHICLE

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a vehicle system that includes a display, an electronic device, a control panel, a communicator, and a processor. The processor is configured to identify similar items on the control panel of the vehicle and another vehicle based on manual guide information received through the communicator. The processor then controls the display to show a control panel image of both vehicles with the same emoticon displayed for the identified items.

  • The patent application describes a vehicle system with a display, electronic device, control panel, communicator, and processor.
  • The processor identifies similar items on the control panel of the vehicle and another vehicle.
  • The identification is based on manual guide information received through the communicator.
  • The display shows a control panel image of both vehicles with the same emoticon displayed for the identified items.

Potential Applications

  • This technology can be applied in various types of vehicles, such as cars, trucks, and motorcycles.
  • It can be used to enhance the user experience by providing a consistent and familiar control panel layout across different vehicles.
  • The technology can be particularly useful for fleet management systems, where multiple vehicles need to be controlled and monitored.

Problems Solved

  • The technology solves the problem of having different control panel layouts in different vehicles, which can be confusing and inconvenient for users.
  • It allows users to easily understand and operate the control panel of a vehicle, even if they are not familiar with that particular vehicle model.
  • The technology also solves the problem of inconsistency in control panel design across different vehicles, providing a standardized and intuitive interface.

Benefits

  • The technology improves user convenience and reduces the learning curve for operating different vehicles.
  • It enhances safety by minimizing distractions and confusion caused by unfamiliar control panel layouts.
  • The standardized control panel design can lead to increased efficiency and productivity, especially in fleet management scenarios.

Original Abstract Submitted

A vehicle includes: a display; an electronic device; a control panel including a plurality of items and configured to receive control information for controlling at least one function performed in the electronic device through at least one of the plurality of items; a communicator configured to perform communication with a server; and a processor. The processor is configured to identify a first item having a same function among the plurality of items of the control panel of the vehicle and a plurality of items of a control panel provided in another vehicle, based on manual guide information of the vehicle and manual guide information of the other vehicle received through the communicator. The processor is configured to control the display to display a control panel image of the vehicle and a control panel image of the other vehicle and to display a same emoticon with respect to the identified first item on each of the control panel image of the vehicle and the control panel image of the other vehicle.
