DISPLAY APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17983306 titled 'DISPLAY APPARATUS

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a display apparatus that includes a substrate with two areas: a first area and a second area.

In the first area, there are auxiliary pixels arranged in a specific pattern. These auxiliary pixels include first, second, and third auxiliary pixels, which are arranged along parallel lines.

In the second area, there are main pixels.

There is a transmissive portion between the auxiliary pixels.

The distance between the first and second lines on one side of the first line is smaller than the distance between the first and third lines on the other side of the first line.

  • The display apparatus includes auxiliary pixels and main pixels arranged in a specific pattern.
  • The auxiliary pixels are arranged along parallel lines, creating a unique pixel arrangement.
  • The distance between the lines of auxiliary pixels varies on different sides of the first line.
  • The transmissive portion between the auxiliary pixels allows light to pass through.

Potential Applications

  • This display apparatus can be used in various electronic devices, such as smartphones, tablets, and televisions.
  • It can enhance the visual quality and resolution of the display.
  • The unique pixel arrangement can provide improved color accuracy and contrast.

Problems Solved

  • The display apparatus solves the problem of pixel arrangement to optimize visual quality.
  • It addresses the challenge of achieving high-resolution displays with accurate color representation.
  • The varying distance between the lines of auxiliary pixels helps to reduce pixelation and improve image clarity.

Benefits

  • The display apparatus offers improved visual quality and resolution.
  • It provides enhanced color accuracy and contrast.
  • The unique pixel arrangement helps to reduce pixelation and improve image clarity.

Original Abstract Submitted

A display apparatus includes a substrate including a first area and a second area, auxiliary pixels in the first area, and including first auxiliary pixels, respective ones of which being along a first line, and second auxiliary pixels, respective ones of which being arranged along a second line that is parallel to the first line, and third auxiliary pixels, respective ones of which being arranged along a third line that is parallel to the first line, and having a same pixel arrangement as the second auxiliary pixels, main pixels in the second area, and a transmissive portion between the auxiliary pixels, wherein a first distance between the first line and the second line at one side of the first line is less than a second distance between the first line and the third line at an other side of the first line.
