AIR CONDITIONER INCLUDING LIGHTING MODULE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17975860 titled 'AIR CONDITIONER INCLUDING LIGHTING MODULE

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes an air conditioner with a lighting module and a discharge guide. The air conditioner has a housing, air inlet, air outlet, heat exchanger, and fan. The lighting module includes a moveable lighting panel, and the discharge guide moves with the lighting module. The lighting panel can be positioned to allow or restrict air flow.

  • The air conditioner includes an air conditioning module, a lighting module, and a discharge guide.
  • The air conditioning module has a housing, air inlet, air outlet, heat exchanger, and fan.
  • The lighting module includes a moveable lighting panel.
  • The discharge guide moves with the lighting module.
  • The lighting panel can be moved to allow or restrict air flow.
  • In the first position, the lighting panel allows air to enter the air inlet and be discharged from the air outlet, while the discharge guide blocks the discharged air from re-entering the air inlet.
  • In the second position, the lighting panel restricts air from entering the air inlet and being discharged from the air outlet compared to the first position.

Potential Applications

  • Residential air conditioning systems
  • Commercial air conditioning systems
  • Industrial air conditioning systems

Problems Solved

  • Efficient use of space by combining air conditioning and lighting modules
  • Flexibility in controlling air flow and lighting in a single unit

Benefits

  • Space-saving design
  • Improved energy efficiency
  • Enhanced control over air flow and lighting

Original Abstract Submitted

An air conditioner including an air conditioning module, a lighting module and a discharge guide between the air conditioning module and the lighting module. The air conditioning module includes a housing, air inlet, air outlet, heat exchanger, and fan. The lighting module includes a moveable lighting panel. The discharge guide moves with the lighting module. The lighting panel is moveable between a first position in which the lighting panel allows air to enter the air inlet and to be discharged from the air outlet and the discharge guide blocks the discharged air from entering the air inlet, and a second position in which the lighting panel restricts air from entering the air inlet and from being discharged from the air outlet as compared to the first position.
