DATA MANAGEMENT APPARATUS AND DATA MANAGEMENT METHOD - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17972977 titled 'DATA MANAGEMENT APPARATUS AND DATA MANAGEMENT METHOD

Simplified Explanation

Abstract

The patent application describes a system where records are stored in distributed ledgers and time-stamped for verification. The system involves a client server controller that obtains a time stamp token for a record hash value and stores it in a second distributed ledger. The controller also obtains a time stamp token for another record hash value and stores it along with the record hash value in the second distributed ledger.

Bullet Points

  • Records are stored in distributed ledgers.
  • Time stamp tokens are obtained for record hash values.
  • The tokens and hash values are stored in a second distributed ledger.

Potential Applications

  • Document verification: This system can be used to verify the authenticity and integrity of important documents, such as legal contracts or academic certificates.
  • Supply chain management: The technology can be applied to track and verify the movement of goods along the supply chain, ensuring transparency and preventing fraud.
  • Intellectual property protection: By time-stamping and storing records in distributed ledgers, this system can help protect intellectual property rights and provide evidence of ownership.

Problems Solved

  • Tamper-proof records: By storing records in distributed ledgers and time-stamping them, the system ensures that records cannot be altered or tampered with without detection.
  • Trust and transparency: The use of distributed ledgers and time stamp tokens increases trust and transparency in various processes, such as document verification and supply chain management.
  • Efficient record management: The system simplifies the process of storing and verifying records by utilizing distributed ledger technology.

Benefits

  • Enhanced security: The system provides a secure and tamper-proof method of storing and verifying records, reducing the risk of fraud and unauthorized access.
  • Improved trust and transparency: By utilizing distributed ledgers and time stamp tokens, the system increases trust and transparency in various industries and processes.
  • Simplified record management: The technology streamlines the process of storing and verifying records, making it more efficient and cost-effective.

Original Abstract Submitted

As a record RA is stored in a first distributed ledger, a controller of a client server obtains a time stamp token T for a record hash value RH thereof and has a record RB including the time stamp token T stored in a second distributed ledger. Then, as a record RA is stored in the first distributed ledger, the controller obtains a time stamp token T for a record hash value RH of the record RA. Then, the controller has a record RB including the time stamp token T and a record hash value of the record RB stored in the second distributed ledger.
