METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR COMPUTER VISION INFERENCING USING A PROCESSING SYSTEM WITH DEDICATED HARDWARE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17970300 titled 'METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR COMPUTER VISION INFERENCING USING A PROCESSING SYSTEM WITH DEDICATED HARDWARE

Simplified Explanation

The system described in the abstract is designed to analyze encoded data using metadata and computer vision inferencing to perform remediation actions based on the results. Here is a simplified explanation of the patent application:

  • The system includes a processor, processing system, processing system storage, and an enhanced networking interface.
  • The enhanced networking interface obtains encoded data from a local source and performs a metadata analysis to extract metadata.
  • The metadata is stored in the processing system storage for further processing.
  • The processing system retrieves the metadata, performs computer vision inferencing on the encoded data using the metadata, and provides the inferencing data to the processor.
  • The processor then executes a remediation action based on the inferencing data.

Potential Applications: This technology could be applied in security systems for threat detection, quality control in manufacturing processes, and content moderation in online platforms.

Problems Solved: This technology streamlines the process of analyzing and taking action on data, improving efficiency and accuracy in decision-making.

Benefits: The system enables automated analysis and remediation of data, reducing the need for manual intervention and increasing the speed of response to potential issues.

Potential Commercial Applications: "Automated Data Analysis and Remediation Technology for Enhanced Security and Quality Control"

Possible Prior Art: One possible prior art could be systems that use metadata analysis and computer vision for data processing and analysis, but the specific combination of these technologies for automated remediation actions may be novel.

Unanswered Questions: 1. How does the system ensure the accuracy and reliability of the inferencing data generated through computer vision analysis? 2. What are the potential limitations or challenges in implementing this technology in real-world applications, and how are they addressed in the patent application?

Original Abstract Submitted

A system comprising a processor, a processing system operatively connected to the processor, a processing system storage, and an enhanced networking interface operatively connected to the processing system. The enhanced networking interface is programmed to obtain encoded data from a local data source, perform a metadata analysis of the encoded data to obtain metadata associated with the encoded data, and store the metadata in the processing system storage. The processing system is programmed to obtain the metadata from the processing system storage, perform a computer vision (CV) inferencing on the encoded data using the metadata to obtain inferencing data, provide the inferencing data to the processor, and perform, by the processor, a remediation action based on the inferencing data.
