  • Wireless routers and access points: By optimizing signal reception and selection, this technology can improve the performance and coverage of wireless routers and access points.

Problems Solved

The technology addresses several problems in wireless communication systems:

  • Signal interference: By selecting specific reception beams for different TRPs, the device can mitigate signal interference and improve signal quality.
  • Weak signal reception: The technology can identify the strength of reference signals and select the most suitable reception beams to enhance weak signal reception.
  • Simultaneous reception: The device allows for simultaneous reception of signals from multiple TRPs, enabling efficient and concurrent communication.

Benefits

The use of this technology offers several benefits:

  • Improved signal reception: By selecting the most appropriate reception beams, the device can enhance signal reception and improve overall communication quality.
  • Enhanced network performance: The technology optimizes signal reception and selection, leading to improved network performance, reduced latency, and increased data transfer rates.
  • Efficient use of resources: Simultaneous reception of signals from multiple TRPs allows for efficient utilization of available resources and better network capacity.

Original Abstract Submitted

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a plurality of antenna modules, and a communication processor. The communication processor may be configured to identify information set for reception of different signals transmitted from a plurality of transmission and reception points (TRPs), identify information related to a strength of a reference signal corresponding to a first TRP among the plurality of TRPs and information related to a strength of a reference signal corresponding to a second TRP among the plurality of TRPs, for a plurality of reception beams set in the plurality of antenna modules, respectively, identify that a first reception beam of a first antenna module among the plurality of antenna modules is selected to receive a signal transmitted from the first TRP and a second reception beam of the first antenna module is selected to receive a signal transmitted from the second TRP, and receive a signal corresponding to the first TRP and a signal corresponding to the second TRP based on a third reception beam of the first antenna module.
