METHOD FOR PROVIDING IMAGE AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE SUPPORTING THE SAME - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17967333 titled 'METHOD FOR PROVIDING IMAGE AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE SUPPORTING THE SAME

Simplified Explanation

An electronic device is described in this patent application. The device includes a display with a reciprocating first region, a camera that captures images through the first region, and a driving part that controls the reciprocating motion of the first region. The device also includes at least one processor that controls the driving part, captures multiple images through the camera while the first region is moving, and synthesizes these images to create a second image.

  • The electronic device has a display with a movable region and a camera that captures images through this region.
  • A driving part controls the movement of the display's region.
  • At least one processor is connected to the display, camera, and driving part.
  • The processor controls the driving part to make the region move back and forth.
  • While the region is moving, the camera captures multiple images.
  • The processor then combines these images to create a single synthesized image.

Potential Applications

  • This technology could be used in smartphones or tablets to improve image quality by capturing multiple images and combining them into a single high-quality image.
  • It could also be used in digital cameras or camcorders to enhance image stabilization by capturing multiple frames and aligning them to reduce motion blur.

Problems Solved

  • This technology solves the problem of capturing high-quality images in situations where there may be motion or instability.
  • It also addresses the issue of image stabilization, reducing motion blur in captured images.

Benefits

  • The device's ability to capture multiple images and synthesize them into a single image improves image quality and reduces noise.
  • The reciprocating motion of the display's region allows for better image stabilization, resulting in sharper and clearer images.
  • This technology provides a more efficient and effective way of capturing high-quality images in various situations.

Original Abstract Submitted

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a display including a first region being capable of reciprocating, a camera configured to obtain an image using incident light through the first region, a driving part configured to reciprocate the first region, and at least one processor electrically connected to the display, the camera, and the driving part, wherein the at least one processor may be configured to control the driving part such that the first region reciprocates, obtain a plurality of first images through the camera while the first region reciprocates, and obtain a second image by synthesizing the plurality of first images.
