SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF COORDINATED SERVICE PERIODS FOR WIFI - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17960518 titled 'SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF COORDINATED SERVICE PERIODS FOR WIFI

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a wireless communication device that can transmit request frames to a communication node and a user device, indicating transmissions to be performed during specific service periods. The device then receives these transmissions during the specified service periods.

  • Wireless communication device with processors
  • Transmitting request frames to communication node and user device
  • Indicating transmissions to be performed during service periods
  • Receiving transmissions during specified service periods

Potential Applications

This technology could be applied in various wireless communication systems, such as IoT devices, smart home systems, and industrial automation.

Problems Solved

This technology helps in coordinating and optimizing wireless transmissions between different devices, ensuring efficient communication and reducing interference.

Benefits

Potential Commercial Applications

Potential commercial applications of this technology include smart city infrastructure, remote monitoring systems, and autonomous vehicles.

Possible Prior Art

One possible prior art could be the use of time division multiple access (TDMA) in wireless communication systems to allocate time slots for different devices to transmit data.

What are the specific wireless communication standards or protocols used in this technology?

The abstract does not specify the wireless communication standards or protocols used in this technology.

How does this technology handle interference from other wireless devices in the vicinity?

The abstract does not provide information on how this technology handles interference from other wireless devices.

Original Abstract Submitted

A wireless communication device may include one or more processors. The one or more processors may transmit one or more first request frames to a wireless communication node and a wireless user device. The one or more first request frames may indicate to the wireless communication node to perform a first transmission to the wireless communication device during a first service period (SP). The one or more first request frames may indicate to the wireless user device to perform a second transmission to the wireless communication device during the first SP. The one or more processors may receive, during the first SP, according to the one or more first request frames, the first transmission from the wireless communication node, and the second transmission from the wireless user device.
