DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD ACCORDING TO INTER-INTEGRATED CIRCUIT PROTOCOL AND TRANSMISSION APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17959541 titled 'DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD ACCORDING TO INTER-INTEGRATED CIRCUIT PROTOCOL AND TRANSMISSION APPARATUS

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a data transmission method using the I2C protocol and a transmission apparatus. Here are the key points:

  • The method involves a first transmission chip that receives I2C data from a first device, which is data being sent to a second device.
  • The first transmission chip sends feedback information to the first device to indicate whether the I2C data was successfully received.
  • The first transmission chip then forwards the I2C data to a second transmission chip that corresponds to the second device.
  • The first transmission chip receives feedback information from the second transmission chip to indicate whether the I2C data was successfully received.
  • The first transmission chip stores this feedback information in its own storage space.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • This data transmission method can be used in various electronic devices that require communication between different components or devices.
  • It can be applied in systems where reliable data transmission is crucial, such as in industrial automation, automotive electronics, and consumer electronics.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • The method ensures that the I2C data is successfully received by both the first and second devices, providing a reliable communication link.
  • It allows for easy identification of any transmission errors or failures, enabling prompt troubleshooting and resolution.

Benefits of this technology:

  • The method provides a feedback mechanism to indicate successful data transmission, enhancing the reliability of the communication.
  • It simplifies the process of transmitting I2C data between devices, reducing the chances of errors or data loss.
  • The storage of feedback information in the first transmission chip allows for easy access and analysis of transmission performance.

Original Abstract Submitted

A data transmission method according to an I2C protocol and a transmission apparatus includes: a first transmission chip obtains I2C data from a first device, wherein the I2C data is data sent by the first device to a second device. The first transmission chip sends first feedback information to the first device, wherein the first feedback information is used to indicate whether the I2C data is successfully received. The first transmission chip forwards the I2C data to a second transmission chip corresponding to the second device. The first transmission chip receives second feedback information from the second transmission chip, and the second feedback information is used to indicate whether the I2C data is successfully received. The first transmission chip stores the second feedback information in a first storage space that is storage space of the first transmission chip.
