Unanswered Questions

How reliable is the detection of emergency situations by the system?

The reliability of the system in accurately detecting emergency situations is crucial for its effectiveness in real-world applications. Further testing and validation studies may be needed to assess the system's performance in different scenarios.

What are the privacy implications of transmitting environment data to a report center?

Transmitting environment data, especially in emergency situations, raises concerns about privacy and data security. It is essential to address these issues to ensure compliance with regulations and protect user information.

Original Abstract Submitted

Disclosed herein are methods, systems, and computer program products for detecting an emergency that include: scanning, with a sensor, an environment of an autonomous vehicle on which the sensor is connected to collect environment data; analyzing the environment data using a machine learning model trained using historical data to recognize emergency situations, where the analyzing includes identifying at least a portion of the environment data as corresponding to a first emergency situation; in response to identifying the first emergency situation, generating a data packet including the environment data corresponding to the first emergency situation; and transmitting the data packet to a report center.
