SOYBEAN CULTIVAR 12301724 - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17943866 titled 'SOYBEAN CULTIVAR 12301724

Simplified Explanation

The soybean cultivar 12301724 is a new variety of soybean that has been developed for its unique traits and characteristics.

  • This cultivar is specifically designed for its seeds, plants, and plant parts, as well as methods for producing progeny and transgenic soybean plants.
  • The invention also includes breeding cultivars and plant parts derived from soybean cultivar 12301724, as well as methods for producing other soybean cultivars and lines.
  • Hybrid soybean seeds, plants, and plant parts can be produced by crossing cultivar 12301724 with another soybean cultivar.

Potential Applications

The soybean cultivar 12301724 can be used in agriculture for its improved traits, such as higher yields, disease resistance, or tolerance to specific environmental conditions.

Problems Solved

This technology helps address challenges in soybean farming, such as low yields, susceptibility to diseases, or the need for more resilient crops in changing climates.

Benefits

The soybean cultivar 12301724 offers farmers the potential for increased productivity, reduced reliance on pesticides, and improved crop resilience.

Potential Commercial Applications

This technology could be valuable for seed companies, farmers, and agricultural biotechnology firms looking to develop and market improved soybean varieties.

Possible Prior Art

Prior soybean cultivars and breeding techniques may exist, but specific information on prior art related to soybean cultivar 12301724 would need to be researched further.

Unanswered Questions

How does soybean cultivar 12301724 compare to other existing soybean varieties in terms of yield potential and disease resistance?

Further research and field trials would be needed to directly compare the performance of soybean cultivar 12301724 with other varieties.

What specific environmental conditions or regions is soybean cultivar 12301724 best suited for?

Additional studies and data collection could help determine the optimal growing conditions for this new soybean cultivar.

Original Abstract Submitted

A soybean cultivar designated 12301724 is disclosed. The invention relates to the seeds of soybean cultivar 12301724, to the plants of soybean cultivar 12301724, to the plant parts of soybean cultivar 12301724, and to methods for producing progeny of soybean cultivar 12301724. The invention also relates to methods for producing a soybean plant containing in its genetic material one or more transgenes and to the transgenic soybean plants and plant parts produced by those methods. The invention also relates to soybean cultivars or breeding cultivars, and plant parts derived from soybean cultivar 12301724. The invention also relates to methods for producing other soybean cultivars, lines, or plant parts derived from soybean cultivar 12301724, and to the soybean plants, varieties, and their parts derived from use of those methods. The invention further relates to hybrid soybean seeds, plants, and plant parts produced by crossing cultivar 12301724 with another soybean cultivar.
