QUANTUM CIRCUIT SERVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17937409 titled 'QUANTUM CIRCUIT SERVICE

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a system for managing the deployment of quantum circuits, including a web server and a deployment service.

  • The system includes a web server that receives quantum computing requests from consumers and generates responses based on the execution of quantum applications.
  • The deployment service stores quantum circuit definitions in a data store, receives deployment requests from the web server, generates containers for implementing quantum circuits, configures quantum applications in the containers, and provides access to job execution results.

Potential Applications

This technology could be applied in various fields such as quantum computing research, quantum cryptography, and quantum machine learning.

Problems Solved

This system helps manage the deployment of quantum circuits efficiently, allowing for the execution of complex quantum computing tasks with ease.

Benefits

The system streamlines the process of deploying quantum circuits, improves the performance of quantum applications, and enhances the overall user experience in quantum computing.

Potential Commercial Applications

Potential commercial applications of this technology include quantum computing services, quantum software development platforms, and quantum cloud computing solutions.

Possible Prior Art

One possible prior art in this field is the IBM Quantum Experience platform, which provides users with access to quantum computing resources and tools for developing and executing quantum circuits.

Unanswered Questions

How does this system handle security and privacy concerns related to quantum computing requests and results?

The system does not explicitly address security and privacy concerns in the abstract. It would be important to understand how sensitive data is handled and protected within the system.

What scalability challenges might arise when deploying a large number of quantum circuits using this system?

The abstract does not mention scalability considerations. It would be crucial to investigate how the system handles a high volume of quantum computing requests and deployments without compromising performance.

Original Abstract Submitted

A system for managing deployment of quantum circuits is described. The system may include a web server configured to receive, from a consumer, a quantum computing request to perform a job using a given quantum application. The web server may generate a response based on execution of the quantum application and at least a portion of the quantum computing request and return the response to the consumer. The system may also include a deployment service configured to store quantum circuit definitions in a data store. The deployment service may receive, from the web server, a deployment request for executing a quantum circuit. The deployment service may generate a container for implementing the quantum circuit. The deployment service may configure a quantum application in the container for executing a job using the quantum circuit. The deployment service may provide the web server access to results of the execution of the job.
