METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INTER-UE COORDINATION SIGNALING - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17933830 titled 'METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INTER-UE COORDINATION SIGNALING
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes methods and apparatus for inter-UE coordination signaling in a wireless communication system. It introduces a method for operating a UE that involves receiving signaling information from other UEs, identifying conflicts in the reserved resources, and determining which UE should be informed about the conflict.
- The method involves receiving signaling information (SCI format 1-A) from multiple UEs.
- The signaling information includes priority values (p) and reserved resources for each UE.
- Conflicts are identified when the reserved resources of two UEs overlap in time and frequency.
- The priority values are used to determine which UE should be informed about the conflict.
- A PSFCH (Physical Shared Feedback Channel) is transmitted to indicate the conflict information.
Potential applications of this technology:
- Wireless communication systems: This technology can be applied in various wireless communication systems to improve inter-UE coordination and resource allocation.
- Cellular networks: It can be used in cellular networks to enhance the efficiency and reliability of communication between UEs.
Problems solved by this technology:
- Resource conflicts: The technology helps in identifying conflicts when multiple UEs try to reserve the same resources, allowing for efficient resource allocation.
- Interference reduction: By coordinating the signaling between UEs, this technology helps in reducing interference and improving overall system performance.
Benefits of this technology:
- Improved resource allocation: By identifying conflicts and determining which UE should be informed, this technology enables better utilization of available resources.
- Enhanced system performance: By reducing interference and improving coordination between UEs, this technology can enhance the overall performance and reliability of wireless communication systems.
Original Abstract Submitted
Methods and apparatus for inter-UE coordination signaling in a wireless communication system. A method of operating a UE includes receiving a first SCI format 1-A from a first UE and a second SCI format 1-A from a second UE. The first SCI format 1-A includes a first priority value pand reserves a first SL resource. The second SCI format 1-A includes a second priority value pand reserves a second SL resource. The method further includes identifying a conflict when the first and second SL reserved resources overlap in time and frequency; determining, based on the priority values, whether to indicate conflict information to the first UE or the second UE; and transmitting a PSFCH with the conflict information. When p>p, the conflict information is indicated to the first UE and, when p=p, the conflict information is indicated to the first UE or the second UE.
