SIDELINK UNIFIED TRANSMISSION CONFIGURATION INDICATOR STATE - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17932061 titled 'SIDELINK UNIFIED TRANSMISSION CONFIGURATION INDICATOR STATE
Simplified Explanation
The present disclosure pertains to wireless communication, where a first user equipment (UE) can transmit an indication of a sidelink unified transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state to a second UE. This TCI state can include joint forward link and reverse link TCI state, separate forward link TCI state, or separate reverse link TCI state. The first UE can then communicate with the second UE on either the forward link or the reverse link based on this indication.
- First UE sends TCI state indication to second UE
- TCI state includes joint or separate forward/reverse link states
- Communication between UEs based on TCI state indication
Potential Applications
- Enhanced communication reliability in wireless networks - Improved coordination between UEs in a network
Problems Solved
- Efficient utilization of wireless resources - Enhanced communication performance in sidelink scenarios
Benefits
- Increased network efficiency - Enhanced user experience with improved communication reliability
Original Abstract Submitted
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a second UE, an indication of at least one sidelink unified transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state, wherein the at least one sidelink unified TCI state includes at least one of: a joint forward link and reverse link TCI state, a separate forward link TCI state, or a separate reverse link TCI state. The first UE may communicate with the second UE on at least one of the forward link or the reverse link based at least in part on the indication of the sidelink unified TCI state. Numerous other aspects are described.
