Camera Control Method and System, and Electronic Device - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17921255 titled 'Camera Control Method and System, and Electronic Device

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes an electronic device that includes a display apparatus, a photographing apparatus, and a lifting apparatus. The photographing apparatus can receive a first stream of instructions from a first application through a channel and collect an image based on those instructions. The photographing apparatus reports its state to a proxy module in the display apparatus, which controls the lifting apparatus to lift the photographing apparatus. Once lifted, the photographing apparatus can collect an image and output it to the first application.

  • The electronic device includes a display apparatus, a photographing apparatus, and a lifting apparatus.
  • The photographing apparatus can receive instructions from a first application through a channel.
  • The photographing apparatus reports its state to a proxy module in the display apparatus.
  • The proxy module controls the lifting apparatus to lift the photographing apparatus.
  • Once lifted, the photographing apparatus can collect an image and output it to the first application.

Potential Applications

  • Photography and videography: The lifting apparatus allows for capturing images or videos from different angles and heights, providing more creative options for photographers and videographers.
  • Remote monitoring: The electronic device can be used for remote surveillance or monitoring, where the photographing apparatus can be lifted to capture images or videos in different locations.
  • Augmented reality: The lifting apparatus can be used to position the photographing apparatus at specific angles to enhance augmented reality experiences.

Problems Solved

  • Limited angles and perspectives: The lifting apparatus solves the problem of being limited to a fixed position for capturing images or videos, allowing for more flexibility in capturing different angles and perspectives.
  • Remote control: The ability to control the lifting apparatus remotely through the first application solves the problem of manually adjusting the position of the photographing apparatus.

Benefits

  • Enhanced creativity: The lifting apparatus enables photographers and videographers to capture images or videos from unique angles, resulting in more creative and visually appealing content.
  • Remote accessibility: The ability to control the lifting apparatus remotely through the first application allows for easy adjustment of the photographing apparatus without physically being present.
  • Improved surveillance: The lifting apparatus provides the capability to monitor different areas by adjusting the position of the photographing apparatus, enhancing surveillance capabilities.

Original Abstract Submitted

An electronic device comprises a display apparatus, a photographing apparatus, and a lifting apparatus. The photographing apparatus receives, through the first channel or a second channel, a first stream on instruction triggered by a first application. The second channel is a channel between the display apparatus and the photographing apparatus, and the first stream on instruction is used to instruct the photographing apparatus to collect an image and output the collected image to the first application. The photographing apparatus reports a first stream on state to a proxy module in the display apparatus through the first channel. The proxy module in the display apparatus controls, based on the first stream on state, the lifting apparatus to lift the photographing apparatus. The photographing apparatus after being lifted starts to collect an image, and outputs the collected image to the first application through the second channel.
