PARTIALLY OVERLAPPED CSI-RS SHIFTING - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17921004 titled 'PARTIALLY OVERLAPPED CSI-RS SHIFTING
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes a method, system, and apparatus for partially overlapped channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) shifting. This technology is related to wireless communication networks and aims to improve the efficiency and reliability of transmitting CSI-RS signaling.
- The method involves configuring a first CSI-RS resource in a set of candidate CSI-RS resources. This first resource partially overlaps with a second CSI-RS resource in the set.
- The first CSI-RS resource is associated with a first cell, while the second CSI-RS resource is associated with a second cell.
- The configured first CSI-RS resource is then used to transmit CSI-RS signaling.
Potential applications of this technology:
- Wireless communication networks
- Cellular networks
- 5G and beyond networks
Problems solved by this technology:
- Efficient utilization of CSI-RS resources
- Improved reliability of CSI-RS signaling
- Minimization of interference between neighboring cells
Benefits of this technology:
- Enhanced network performance
- Increased capacity and throughput
- Improved quality of service for wireless devices
Original Abstract Submitted
A method, system and apparatus are disclosed for partially overlapped channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) shifting. In some embodiments, a method implemented in a network node includes configuring a first channel state information reference signal, CSI-RS, resource in a set of candidate CSI-RS resources, the first CSI-RS resource partially overlapping a second CSI-RS resource in the set of candidate CSI-RS resources, the first CSI-RS resource being associated with a first cell and the second CSI-RS resource being associated with a second cell; and transmitting CSI-RS signaling on the configured first CSI-RS resource. In some embodiments, a method implemented in a wireless device, WD, includes receiving a configuration of a first channel state information reference signal, CSI-RS, resource in a set of candidate CSI-RS resources, the first CSI-RS resource partially overlapping a second CSI-RS resource in the set of candidate CSI-RS resources.
