TECHNIQUES FOR MANAGEMENT DATA ANALYTICS (MDA) PROCESS AND SERVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17918507 titled 'TECHNIQUES FOR MANAGEMENT DATA ANALYTICS (MDA) PROCESS AND SERVICE

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes techniques for managing data analytics in a wireless cellular network using machine learning. Here are the key points:

  • The management data analytics (MDA) system receives raw data from the network.
  • The raw data is classified and analyzed to generate analytics output.
  • Machine learning techniques are used to support the MDA process.
  • The MDA service producer receives training data from the MDA service consumer.
  • A machine learning model is trained based on the training data.
  • The trained model is applied to the raw data associated with network functions.
  • The output data indicates conflicts between network functions and recommends actions to address the conflicts.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Improving the performance and efficiency of wireless cellular networks.
  • Identifying and resolving conflicts between network functions.
  • Optimizing self-organizing network (SON) functions.
  • Enhancing network management and troubleshooting processes.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Manual analysis of raw data can be time-consuming and error-prone.
  • Identifying conflicts between network functions can be challenging.
  • Resolving conflicts and optimizing network functions can be complex.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Automation of data analysis and conflict resolution processes.
  • Improved network performance and efficiency.
  • Enhanced network management and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Cost savings through optimized network operations.

Original Abstract Submitted

Various embodiments herein provide techniques for management data analytics (MDA) for a wireless cellular network. The MDAS producer receives the raw data, classifies and analyses the raw data to generate the analytics output. The MDA process may be supported by machine learning techniques, and performed by a MDA service producer and assisted by a MDA service consumer. For example, the MDA service producer may receive training data from the MDA service consumer, and train a machine learning model based on the training data. The MDA service producer may apply the trained machine learning model to the raw data that are associated with network functions (e.g., self-organizing network (SON) functions) to generate output data that indicates a conflict between the network functions and a recommended action to address the conflict. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.
