ADAPTING RACH TRANSMISSION IN UNLICENSED CARRIER - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17917737 titled 'ADAPTING RACH TRANSMISSION IN UNLICENSED CARRIER
Simplified Explanation
The abstract describes a method, system, and apparatus for a wireless device to select and perform a random access procedure based on various factors such as clear channel assessment failures and the time gap between physical random access channel and physical uplink shared channel resources.
- The wireless device includes processing circuitry that selects a random access procedure type based on clear channel assessment failures and the time gap between PRACH and PUSCH resources.
- The processing circuitry then performs the random access procedure using the selected procedure type.
Potential applications of this technology:
- Mobile communication networks
- Internet of Things (IoT) devices
- Wireless sensor networks
Problems solved by this technology:
- Efficient selection and performance of random access procedures in wireless devices
- Optimization of resources and channel assessment in wireless communication
Benefits of this technology:
- Improved reliability and efficiency of random access procedures
- Enhanced performance and resource utilization in wireless networks
- Better connectivity and communication for IoT devices and wireless sensor networks
Original Abstract Submitted
A method, system and apparatus are disclosed. According to one or more embodiments, a wireless device is provided that includes processing circuitry configured to select one of a plurality of random access procedure types based on at least one of a quantity of clear channel assessment, CCA, failures associated with random access attempts and a time gap between a physical random access channel, PRACH, resources and physical uplink shared channel, PUSCH, resources. The processing circuitry is further configured to perform a random access procedure one of based on and using the selected one of the plurality of random access procedure types.
