METHOD AND DEVICE FOR REQUESTING TRANSMISSION RESOURCE FOR RELAY IN NR V2X - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17916455 titled 'METHOD AND DEVICE FOR REQUESTING TRANSMISSION RESOURCE FOR RELAY IN NR V2X

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a method for wireless communication between devices using physical sidelink control channels (PSCCH) and physical sidelink shared channels (PSSCH). Here is a simplified explanation of the abstract:

  • The first device receives PSCCH and PSSCH from a second device and stores the received data in a first buffer.
  • The first device also receives PSCCH and PSSCH from a third device and stores the received data in a second buffer.
  • The first device transmits a scheduling request (SR) and/or a buffer status report (BSR) to a base station based on the available data in the first buffer.
  • The first device receives information about a first resource from the base station in response to the SR and/or BSR.
  • The first device transmits the data from the first buffer to a fourth device using the first resource.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Wireless communication between devices in a network.
  • Efficient utilization of resources for transmitting data between devices.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Efficient management of data transmission between multiple devices.
  • Optimization of resource allocation for wireless communication.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Improved reliability and efficiency of wireless communication.
  • Enhanced utilization of available resources.
  • Better management of data buffers and scheduling requests.

Original Abstract Submitted

Provided are a method for performing wireless communication by a first device and a device supporting same. The method may comprise the steps of: receiving, from a second device, a first physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) and a first physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) associated with the first PSCCH; receiving, from a third device, a second PSCCH and a second PSSCH associated with the second PSCCH; storing data received over the first PSSCH in a first buffer; storing data received over the second PSSCH in a second buffer; transmitting, to a base station, a scheduling request (SR) and/or a buffer status report (BSR) associated with the first buffer, on the basis that available data is in the first buffer; receiving information associated with a first resource from the base station as a response to the SR and/or BSR associated with the first buffer; and transmitting the data on the first buffer to a fourth device by means of the first resource.
