CLOTHING TREATMENT APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17916190 titled 'CLOTHING TREATMENT APPARATUS

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a clothing treatment system that includes a cabinet with a door, a tub, a drum inside the tub, a driving unit to rotate the drum, a gasket that connects the cabinet entrance to the tub opening, and a water supply unit to fill the tub with water.

  • The water supply unit fills the tub to a first water level higher than the lowest part of the gasket.
  • The driving unit rotates the drum at a first speed where the centrifugal force on the laundry inside the drum is greater than gravity at the first water level.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Home laundry machines
  • Commercial laundry facilities
  • Industrial textile processing

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Ensures efficient cleaning and drying of clothes by creating a centrifugal force greater than gravity.
  • Prevents water leakage from the tub by maintaining a water level higher than the gasket.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Improved cleaning and drying performance
  • Reduced water leakage and potential damage to the machine
  • Increased efficiency in laundry processing

Original Abstract Submitted

A clothing treatment includes: a cabinet ; a door coupled to the cabinet ; a tub, ; a drum provided inside the tub ; a driving unit for rotating the drum; a gasket, that connectsan entrance of the cabinet toan opening of the tub ; and a water supply unit for supplying water to the tub. The water supply unit is configured to supply water to the tub to a first water level higher than the lowest part ofan inner side surface of the gasket. The driving unitis configured to rotate the drum at a first rotating speed at which a centrifugal force applied to laundry inside the drum is greater than the gravity applied to the laundry, at the first water level.
