INDUCTION HEATING DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17915065 titled 'INDUCTION HEATING DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

Simplified Explanation

The present disclosure is about an induction heating device and its control method. It involves the simultaneous operation of two working coils at different driving frequencies and the control of interference noise between them. The device adjusts the duty ratio of a switching signal provided to one of the coils to match the required output value.

  • The patent application describes an induction heating device that can operate two working coils simultaneously at different frequencies.
  • The device includes a control mechanism to remove interference noise between the two coils by adjusting the driving frequencies based on their difference.
  • The device also adjusts the duty ratio of the switching signal provided to one of the coils to match the required output value.
  • This control method ensures that the actual output value of the coil matches the required output value, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the induction heating process.

Potential Applications

  • Induction heating devices used in various industries such as manufacturing, automotive, and food processing.
  • Heating and melting applications where precise control of temperature and output values is required.
  • Induction cooking appliances that require efficient and accurate heating.

Problems Solved

  • Interference noise between working coils operating at different frequencies can affect the performance and efficiency of induction heating devices.
  • Achieving the required output value of each working coil can be challenging without proper control mechanisms.
  • This technology solves these problems by providing a control method that removes interference noise and adjusts the output value to match the required value.

Benefits

  • Improved efficiency and effectiveness of induction heating devices.
  • Precise control of temperature and output values.
  • Enhanced performance and reliability of induction heating processes.
  • Reduced interference noise between working coils.
  • Increased flexibility in simultaneous operation of multiple coils.

Original Abstract Submitted

The present disclosure relates to an induction heating device and a control method thereof. In one embodiment, at a time of a simultaneous operation of a first working coil operating at a first driving frequency and a second working coil operating at a second driving frequency, control for removing interference noise is performed based on a difference between the first driving frequency and the second driving frequency. An induction heating device of one embodiment may adjust the duty ratio of a switching signal provided to a first inverter circuit after adjusting the first driving frequency to adjust the actual output value of the first working coil to a value the same as the required output value of the first working coil.
