Chip, Device, and Method for Adjusting Data Transmission Policy Based On Service Type - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17912803 titled 'Chip, Device, and Method for Adjusting Data Transmission Policy Based On Service Type

Simplified Explanation

The present invention is an electronic device, method, and chip for sending data. It addresses the issue of transmission accuracy of sensitive data in a dual-connectivity state.

  • The method involves determining the foreground application currently running on a terminal device.
  • If the foreground application is a present application, the method further determines whether the data to be sent is a data packet of a present type or a hardware resource occupation status of the terminal device.
  • Depending on the determination, the method sends the data packet of the present type or sends two data packets through two links.
  • The goal is to ensure the transmission accuracy of sensitive data.

Potential Applications

This technology can be applied in various fields where sensitive data transmission accuracy is crucial, such as:

  • Financial institutions: Secure transmission of financial data between servers and client devices.
  • Healthcare: Reliable transmission of patient data between medical devices and databases.
  • Government agencies: Secure communication of classified information between different departments.

Problems Solved

The technology solves the following problems:

  • Ensuring transmission accuracy: By determining the type of data and using multiple links, the method ensures that sensitive data is transmitted accurately.
  • Dual-connectivity challenges: The method addresses the challenges faced when a terminal device is in a dual-connectivity state, ensuring reliable data transmission.

Benefits

The benefits of this technology include:

  • Enhanced data security: By accurately transmitting sensitive data, the technology improves overall data security.
  • Reliable transmission: The use of multiple links and determination of data type ensures reliable transmission, reducing the risk of data loss or corruption.
  • Improved efficiency: The method optimizes data transmission in a dual-connectivity state, leading to improved efficiency and performance.

Original Abstract Submitted

The present invention provides an electronic device, a method, and a chip for sending data. The method includes: When a terminal device is in a dual-connectivity state, the terminal device determines a foreground application that is currently being run. When the application that is being run in a foreground is a present application, the terminal device further determines whether that is being of to-be-sent data is a data packet of a present type or a hardware resource occupation status of the terminal device; and sends the data packet of the present type, respectively sends the two data packets through two links, to implement transmission accuracy of sensitive data.
