WEARABLE DEVICE, METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM INCLUDING BODY TEMPERATURE SENSOR - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17898032 titled 'WEARABLE DEVICE, METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM INCLUDING BODY TEMPERATURE SENSOR

Simplified Explanation

The wearable device described in this patent application includes memory, sensors, a display, and a processor.

  • The device allows users to input their exercise plan through the display.
  • The device can measure the user's body temperature using the sensors.
  • If the user's body temperature is below a certain reference temperature, the device will display a warm-up exercise screen instead of the exercise plan screen.
  • The device continues to monitor the user's body temperature while the warm-up exercise screen is displayed.
  • Once the user's body temperature reaches a second reference temperature, the device switches back to the exercise plan screen.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Fitness tracking devices that can guide users through warm-up exercises based on their body temperature.
  • Personalized exercise plans that adapt based on the user's current physical state.
  • Rehabilitation devices that can monitor and guide patients through warm-up exercises to prevent injury.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Ensures that users warm up properly before starting their exercise routine, reducing the risk of injury.
  • Provides personalized guidance based on the user's body temperature, optimizing the effectiveness of the warm-up exercises.
  • Allows users to easily switch between the exercise plan and warm-up screens based on their current physical state.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Reduces the risk of exercise-related injuries by ensuring users warm up properly.
  • Provides personalized guidance based on the user's body temperature, improving the effectiveness of the warm-up exercises.
  • Offers a convenient and user-friendly interface for switching between exercise plans and warm-up exercises.

Original Abstract Submitted

A wearable device includes at least one memory, at least one sensor, a display, and at least one processor configured to receive, via the display, an input with respect to an item among a plurality of items respectively representing an exercise plan; in response to receiving the input, acquire, via the sensor, information for a first body temperature of a user wearing the wearable device; in response to identifying that the first body temperature is less than a first reference temperature, display a second screen guiding a warm-up exercise distinguishable from a first screen guiding the exercise plan indicated by the item corresponding to the input; acquire, via the sensor, a second body temperature of the user, while the second screen is displayed; and in response to identifying that the second body temperature reaches a second reference temperature, switch the second screen to the first screen.
