A roadside unit (RSU) may transmit, to a first communication node, a request for multi-static sensing capability information associated with the first communication node. The RSU may receive a report indicating the multi-static sensing capability information for the first communication node. The RSU may transmit, in response to receiving the multi-static sensing capability information, a control message indicating one or more multi-static sensing parameters for the first communication node. The RSU may receive one or more multi-static sensing measurements obtained based at least in part on the one or more multi-static sensing parameters. The RSU may transmit, to the first communication node, a second communication node, or both, one or more channel estimates determined based at least in part on the one or more multi-static sensing measurements.
